Target Corporation's SSR Decoder Video Test Set TS-5105/UPX is an all solid-state digital device with crystal controlled PRF, mode triggers, target 1 delay, markers and target 1 code. The PRF period and delay are variable in 1 µsec steps from 2 to 9999 µsec. Three reply trains (targets) are provided with provision for selection of any ABCD code plus X and SPI pulses. Targets 2 and 3 may be delayed -0, +100 µsec with respect to target 1. This permits checking of all interleaved and garble conditions.
Special features include pulse substitution on target 1, target bursting from 1 to 99 replies, azimuth gate selection, noise generator and nonsynchronous trigger generator. A unique feature is incorporation of a trigger decoder to determine the mode of externally applied mode triggers. The code trains on that particular mode are then outputted, synchronized to the triggers. This allows the test set to simulate a transponder.
All features necessary to completely check the video portion of an 1FF/SIF system are provided.
