FEATURES
* Complies with U.S. National Standard for the IFF Mark X (SIF) Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System (ATCRBS) characteristics.
Target Corporation's Pulse Generator provides all necessary system triggers to operate an Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System. It can be synchronized to a Radar to enable alignment of Radar and Beacon returns on an operator's display or free-running to provide master triggers for a Beacon System.
The Pulse Generator is highly flexible since it can be operated
with a stable or unstable Radar Trigger, an advanced or delayed
Radar Trigger, or as a Radar Trigger Generator. An automatic tracking
capability is incorporated to enable the output triggers to remain
aligned to a drifting input. Features such as an interval accuracy
of better than 150 nsec, an offset of approximately 100 nsec,
and a range of pulse repetition times from 15 to 3000 pulses per
second enable the Pulse Generator to function with a wide variety
of Beacon Systems.
Thumbwheel switches on the front panel provide trigger output
interval adjustments to increments of 1 µsec. Front panel
fault lights and a remote fault indication are provided. In addition,
the Pulse Generator has an adjustable radar trigger input threshold
and an adjustable countdown gate.
A slide-out chassis, modular circuit card assemblies, and easy platform mounting enable convenient servicing. All input and output connectors are mounted on the rear panel and connectors are provided on the front panel for injection and monitoring of input and output signals.
